Welcome
Disturbing Minds is a new anthology of poetry that is currently seeking a publisher. The following is an excerpt from the Introduction to the (completed) book:
Dusturbing Minds takes no prisoners. Unlike its closest competitors, it does not bemoan the fact that some obscure but “brilliant” work is not included in the mix — did not make the cut. Instead, Disturbing Minds provides its readers with a raw, deconstructive package where all the poems (repeat, all the poems) unhinge, unnerve, and unsettle the reader, whether that reader is a high school thug or recondite professor, and makes them ask what it’s all about … it might even scare the hell out of them. So the purpose of Disturbing Minds is dead simple. Since a lot of poetry anthologies turn people off because they demand a high level of education — more often than not, a highbrow education — to appreciate their specialized selections instead of making sure all their readers get a real buzz on, this anthology, in marked contrast, contains only those poems which haunt and disturb the widest possible audience whether that audience is ‘educated’ or not.
